Southern Maine Planning and Development Commission, a progressive and busy organization serving thirty-nine communities between the White Mountains and Maine’s southern coast, seeks a junior level Planner to join its team.

Primary job duties include data gathering and analysis, development review, long range land use municipal planning and transportation planning. Candidate should be organized in time management, be able to work on multiple projects and have the ability to work either independently or with teams. Occasional travel and night meetings may be required. Familiarity with GIS software and InDesign is a plus.

Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in planning or related field, or bachelor’s degree with two years of experience. SMPDC is located in a beautiful area, with flexible work environment and competitive benefits package; salary range commensurate with experience.
