Has anyone had any experience getting a Farmer's Market off the ground? Our community is building a brand new 100+ acre park that is centrally located and would be ideal for a Farmer's Market. Any and all help would be vastly appreciated, regarding facility needs, marketing, etc.

I would suggest contacting the City of Davis, California. Their Farmers' Market is quite the community event and is the centerpiece of their main "downtown" park. They even have a purpose-built open air market hall. A very nice event, twice a week.

Locally, we have had issues with reestablishing and strengthening our farmers' market (City of Fairfield, California.) Ours is a street-market, though. Contact Emily Low at (707) 422-0103

Downtown Buffalo New York has a wonderful Farmer's Market that has been around for 15 years...It runs Tuesday and Thursdays and is extremely successful...the largest in WNY. It is run by Buffalo Place, the downtown BID.
