I didn't think the ads were that great this year. Well the half time show......I wanted to get a look at those puppies for a while, to bad it was just a millisecond

I thought the ads were weak. The first Bud Light ad with the 2 dogs was probably my favorite.

Excluding the 4th, and maybe 2nd quarters, that had to be one of the most dissapointing and boring Suoer Bowl games ever - And I'm not just bitter because Carolina lost.

And I say thank goodness for Ms. Jackson's little pastied fallout (I know, her first names not Baby, it's Janet. Ms Jackson 'cause I'm ...well, you know. ;-) ). That split second of flesh was the only thing that could possibly redeem that awful excuse for a half-time show. I mean, did we really need five different "artist" lip-synching a minute of each of their former hits? And the P-Diddy re-mix of Toni Basil's 80's classic Mickey into, "O' Diddy you so fine. You so fine you blow my mind. Hey Diddy. Hey Diddy," was nothing short of dreadful.

Okay, I'm done ranting now...Back to the original question at hand.
My favorite commercial had to be the Simpson's Mastercard ad.

I not watch game. CBS afflilate's antenna in Chicagoland give really crappy reception. I not patient enough to watch between squiggles.

Tried to watch Notting Hill on ABC instead. Arrrgh, movie make me wretch.

Superbowl commercials? Meh, I see them other time. TV repeat, no?

My first three thoughts,
The commercials sucked.
Oh my gosh did I really see what I thought I did.
And the sickest thought was, I wonder if I could be the first to post it on Cyburbia!
I resisted that last urge!

Malfunction! Oh My!

Come on.....that was one of the most exciting back and forth Super Bowl's I've ever watched (and I'm not just saying that because we won for the 2nd time in 3 years)!

I actually liked the scoreless portions of the game better than the rapid fire scoring of the 2nd and 4th quarters.....sorry....I've always liked defense better than offense.

This game was a perfect finish for an unbelievable season for us Pats fans.....close game, that somehow, some way, they manage to find a way to win.....been that way for most of the 15 game streak. Oddly, somehow, I knew that the Pats would find a way to get into field goal range for the game winner, and I didn't get nearly as nervous as I did 2 years ago against the Rams.....

While I'll never subscribe to AOL, I did like their SuperBowl commercials using the folks from American Chopper.

I don't even own a T.V..... Saw the last quarter, really wasn't to interested in it to watch the whole thing.

-At least this time they stopped the clock after the field goal kick, unlike the game the pats played against the rams.....

Mrs. Limbaugh

After about 10 minutes in to the first quarter I decided I would enjoy myself more working on the Volvo. So I pulled the driver's seat and was in the middle of resoldering the seat heater grid when the wife comes in to the garage ranting like Rush Limbaugh about the decay of American society. The Misses don't care for ta-ta's when she is watching TV with her 14 year old son. She kept going off about the moral decay of the country, why someone would allow kid rock to BO funk-up an American flag, and how the entire half time show was just shy of getting an NC-17. I love that woman. But I'm sad I missed Janet's teat. :(

I liked the Ford GT commercial, if only it was boxier.

I thought that the NFL network commercial where the players whose teams lost in the playoffs were all singing "tomorrow" was awesome.

I also liked the AOL commericals.

The chinese must have the Tiananmen Plaza guy stoping the tanks Superbowl "ad" as their favorite; they could see for like a second and a half that was transmitted in China through the CCTV. :p
(Just read it on the news)

I agree. The commercials were weak, but that Bud Light ad stands out as also my favorite of the bunch.

Did not catch much of the game. Was eating dinner with family and keeping track of my boys. Did see the last couple of minutes after they went to bed. The only commerical I remember was the Simpsons MC ad.

I agree with biscuit. That was one of the worst Super Bowl games that I've ever seen. The first half was a complete snorefest and by the time things picked up in the second half, I had already changed the channel to my must-see Sunday night shows on HBO - Sex and the City and Curb Your Enthusiam.

I didn't pay too much attention to the ads, but I liked the one with Cedric the Entertainer (I think it's Budweiser) where he was in the wrong room and ended up getting a bikini wax. I also liked the Pizza Hut commercial with the Muppets and Jessica Simpson.

The half-time show was nothing short of horrible. Too many artists rushing through 2 minutes of OLD songs. And what was the big deal with Janet's breast? It happened so fast I don't know if anyone got a really good look at it.

My observations:

1. Talking monkeys were played out 2 decades ago;
2. Special effects have been played out;
3. Potty humor (dog bites crouch and horse rips one) shows a clear lack of creativity.
4. There are going to be some really cool movies coming up.
5. I'm going to start using 4 blades, because I will be more sexy and girls will flock to me. Only in the world of advertising can a razor make you cool.
6. Thank GOD for Pepsi.
7. The public service announcements were far more interesting than the product commercials.
8. The cheerleaders pom-poms were too big, you couldn't see the cheerleaders through them.

Yeah, I broke from the SB to watch SATC with the GF. Not a good episode. I'm tired of the Russian and his priggish ways. The whole doggie-in-heat-thing was funny, though. I heard Big is going to return on the last episode. His three messages foreshadow that. Confession: I would download a web-porn-vid of Samantha. 8-!

I thought that commercial was incredibly convincing and yet so simple.

6. Thank GOD for Pepsi
I liked that as well, I knew that was little Jimmy from the start.

I didn't know I had a problem!

Did anyone else find out that they should see their medical professional because of something going on for more than 4-hrs?

Dale Jr.

I remember seeing two Dale Jr. ads, one for Bud and the other for Nextel. They were amusing, but the Nextel ad was just ridiculous. I did like seeing the car do doughnuts in the end zone!! The Bud commercial was funny, but it did more to sell Dale Jr. than it did beer.

I didn't watch the SB. The only commercial I've seen is a European one for Pepsi. The ad sucks, but at least you get to see Beyonce (and Britney) in armor bikini tops.

I got a laugh out of that one. I almost wonder if the drug company wanted to admit to that side effect. "Erections lasting more than four hours, while uncommon, require immediate medical attention." Medical attention? I can think of other possible means of relief from that condition.

There was a football game?

Sorry, couldn't resist. Only knew it must be game weekend because of all the guys at the supermarket with bursting baskets of snack foods.

Missed the game, missed the commercials, altho' one of the engineers at work gave a very graphic rendition of one where a horse farted on a candle.

Well, I don't know about erections, but I must say that my football-through-tire accuracy is piss-poor. Maybe I should consult my medical professional about that.
