Fayette, MI. I spent part of my honeymoon there. It is an absolutely wonderful place to spend time. It was also very exciting to reflect on how a once thriving company town was created and the reasons it was abandoned.

Welcome, Mendelwoman. I suspect you are correct (see my earlier post). Fayette is a very interesting place. I am not sure whether I like it better now that they have restored many of the buildings, or several years back, when there were more ruin-like. Still, the place does have stories. I imagine it could have been a very pleasant place to live.
