Our newest member 'martini' got me to thinking,

"If I was a cocktail, what kind of cocktail would I be"?

Tough Call. Probably a Razor Blade: A tumbler of Rumpleminze and Jack Daniels over ice.

mmmmm

Given my mood this morning, I'd probably pass for the dregs at the bottom of a whiskey barrel.

Dark & Stormy

Goslings rum,
Ginger beer (not ale)
Lime wedge
On the rocks.

It's spicy, sweet and potent if you make it right.

If you are what you eat then I guess I would be what I drink...
a Makers Mark bourbon with gingerale and a slice of lime. Uncomplicated, smooth, Southern and a guaranteed good time. Yeeeeha

I would think something akin to a Long Island Iced Tea... a combination of seriously potent ingredients and yet I can still be sweet.

Although I still love a good margarita best.

I'll second that...but only if straight scotch could be considered a cocktail.

If I were a cocktail, I'd probably be a Rye and Ginger... smooth, tangy, and well - eminently drinkable. And patriotic too - Canadian Club(e), eh?

mmm, I flew this weekend and in the airline magazine there was a recipe for this drink that sounds REALLY yummy. It was called the Toasted Marchmallow. I don't remember all the ingredients but it had butterscotch liquer, frangelica, I think baileys too....but the coolest part was that a marchmallow skewered on a toothpick rests on the rim of the glass. Dip in bacardi 151 and ignite. blow out and eat.

If I were a drink I don't know what I'd be... I like alot, Mint Juleps, Cosmopolitains, Boxcars, 7 & 7, bacardi and coke, beer..... yummmmmy beer. But since we're talking about mixed drinks, I think Id be Bacardi and coke. Simple yet it'll slowly F^&$ you.

Jessie J- I had to read your post twice. For a minute I thought you wanted to be a "flaming" drink.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

well, since I'm the inspiration...

I of course have to have some input here.

as my name suggests: a nice martini is always good. Must be made with Bombay Sapphire though, nothing less. Oh and NO OLIVES, just Bombay and vermouth, smooth.

Can't beat a good, COLD Bombay and Tonic on a hot stifiling Minnesota night.

And those cold dark winter months call for something on the stouter end. Jagermiester straight up does it for me then.

Hard core, yes I am!

Where is PG? I was waiting for the "Black Leather Whip," which is 1/2 Jagermeister 1/2 Goldschlager.

Killer Kool Aid

Mde with soda water, cranberry juice, melon liquer, vodka, grand marnier, and triple sec.

A complex, yet pleasant mix of many flavours, that if you are not careful will turn around and kick you in thea$$. I don't think this recipe was intended to be consumed out of highballs.

If I was more of a casanova, I'd say gin and tonic - AKA panty remover.

drink..............

Irish Carbomb

2/3 pint glass Beamish

shot glass 1/2 and 1/2 of Bailey's and Jamiesons Whiskey.

Drop the shot in the pint, down the whole stack. This starts your Friday afters just fine.............limit yourself to four.

Second in line would be a nice mojito, no bitters, with Mt. Gay Rhum or Pearl vodka/rocks.

If you think about it (and perhaps we shouldn't), conception and reception are really two sides of the same coin.

You skillfully omitted the fact the ball also touched the astroturf before Harris got the ball and ran. We Raida fans will never forget or forgive...
