I am looking for noise data for transport truck engine brakes (commonly referred to as "Jake Brakes") and for examples of by-laws that prohibit their use in residential areas.
From what I remember of the work I did on this issue, you can't actually prohibit the use "Jake Brakes" through a by-law. Some municipalities have put up courtesy signs though - I think I got some information from the Region Municipality of Waterloo (Ontario). They may also have put some up in Sudbury, after I left.
