Had to share this gem with you.
You know you live in an economically depressed place when a job add says:
"Preference will be given to candidates who meet the above requirements and have one or more of the following barriers to employment:
-incomplete high school education
-contact with the justice, child and / or social assistance system
-residence in a rural or remote location
-low levels of literacy or numeracy
-previous health, drug and / or alcohol related problems
-residence in a single parent household
-a street youth
other significant impediments toparticipating in school or the labour market."
Now I thought we wanted to encourage our youth to stay in school, stay off drugs, learn to read and write and stay out of trouble with the law, but it appears I may be wrong.
