http://www.confluence.org

It attempts to document all the intersections of integer latitude and longitude lines in the world...or at least on land. Antipodes are also shown for each confluence point.

This project has ben ongoing for a while, so most of the US has been documented and completed according to the standards set by the organization. Only a few restricted or not readily accessable sites remain. Curiously, one of 10 primary spots in Ohio is incomplete. Check to see why!

And here's a good one for one of a couple remaining sites in Oregon:

http://www.confluence.org/confluence.php?lat=46&lon=-118

Check the confluence points nearest you to see what visitors have described about them!

here is the near one to the town I grew up in Alpena, MI, but this pic is outside Hillman, MI about 30 west of Alpena - 45N 84W

Here is Elk Grove Village, Il - 42N 88W - The nearest one to my location at this moment - I am about 15 west of this area.

This is cool!!!

Yup, this is what it looked like flying over Illinois and Indiana.

Edit: How could my great-grandparents have moved to a state (RI) that has no confluences? We are so lame. ;)

This one's from my hometown, about 8 miles or so from my parents house.
35N, 83W
The [not particularly] interesting thing here is that the confluence is actually a spot on the road.

Closest to my current location
40E, 80W
Kind of a boring photo don't you think?

Dang! My nearest confluence point (40ºS/73ºW) is unvisited :(

Nearest confluence point (though incomplete) is the 42ºS/73ºW That's near Puerto Montt in the Gulf of Ancud..

EDIT: I mixed up some names :p
