I'd be interested to see what our Wisconsin friends (and others) think of this article:

City Planning Should Include Design Professionals

I thought this article was interesting, but I felt he left out something important in this section:

The local press and professional organizations, such as the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects, need to promote objective and professional architectural criticism.
Mr. White, call the Wisconsin Chapter of the APA as well.

Back when I was in Wisconsin and Dave Cieslewicz was with 1000 Friends of Wisconsin, I never pictured him as the future mayor of Madison. How is he doing? The article makes it sound like business as usual in the Mayor's office. Is that right?

Interesting approach. I can't say I disagree. If this will work anywhere, it will work in Madison.

I can't speak much to Dave's progress as Mayor. I'm a little disconnected from the process there.
