I like EcoFem's Suburban Legend ... I think I'lll steal the name! Cul-De-Sac Jesus has potential.

However, for lack of a better name, I'll pick Patchouli.

Dan - I'd allow the use of the name... so long as I receive a cut of the royalities (to help pay off student loans and supplement my non-profit salary)... or I could just be in the band!

I can't think of any good ones today. Best I could come up with was "Modal Split".

I have no idea what they'd play.

Sounds like one of those terrible new-age smooth jazz bands

Back in my creative writing days, I invented a band called Barney Miller and the Estrogen Express. Their musical style depended on whose personality and appearance was adopted by their outrageous bass player that week: Paul McCartney one day, John Entwistle the next...

I never did finish writing the story.

hehe i wonder if anyone from DPZ ever reads these and realizes what their fellow planners think of them??

Nope. Nobody at DPZ ventures this way; I've checked the logs. I assume they stick to the mailing lists (where you see Duany, Plater-Zyberk and lots of others with dpz.com addresses), and the NU Web sits (CNU, National Trust for Historic Preservation, etc.)

Holy Grundel Batman

as inspired by one of bturks posts in the two truths and a lie thread.....

My band name would be......Got Guiche?

They would play a mixture of the Village People and Nine Inch Nails!

My band would be a cross between Green Day and Lyle Lovitt. Kind of a Speed Punk Western Twang Thang. I know it is hard to envision, but I think I have the sound in my head. I'd name the band Monica's Dress.

"Sludge Cake Pump"

I'm thinking about a sound kind of like the Sex Pistols, but heavy on the banjo and washboard. Lots of original songs, but a few Dolly Parton covers thrown in too.

Inspired by this unique item for sale by the Metropolitan Sewer District. I'm trying to get some friends to go in with me on it. You'll never find this on eBay!

The first single from Got Guiche would be:

Excuse me waiter, there's been a mistake....I ordered a quiche!
