The City of Toronto's recent by-law banning the creation of new drive-thru facilities within 30m of residential uses has been upheld by the Ontario Municipal Board (quasi-judicial panel which can review municipal planning decisions).

That's great! We are changing our LUB to add more mitigation regulations to drive throughs near residences, but I don't think we'd have the votes to ban them outright.

Drive through uses have been prohibited in Santa Cruz County (CA) since 1979.

"13.10.652 Drive-through uses.

No drive-through uses as defined in Section 13.10.700-D shall be permitted."
