Very interesting.
Mentioned - Aldo Leopold - Land Ethic; Praire Restoration/Reconstruction

The film can be viewed free-of-charge on this webpage-
Click on the blue icon that says "Watch on Vimeo":

You don't have to become a member of Vimeo to play it.
Put on 'full screen' and marvel at the photography.

This educational documentary, shot in 2005, is almost an hour (56'47") and appears to have become a bit of a classic.
It appears to have become a sometimes-reference or "springboard" from which subsequent American prairie video clips and full-length documentaries continue to be made.

Haven't seen the film, but lived the life in the Kansas prairie. It's actually interesting stuff if you're into the whole ecosystem thing. They have a science center in Manhattan (little apple in Kansas) that's devoted to prairie science and preservation. You can also look up the Kanza prairie for more bedtime reading.
