For any special approvals (site specific) we send letters to all property owners within 100 feet (30 metres) telling them what has been applied for and how to appear before the decision making body.

For Zoning Amendments, as per the law, 2 ads in the newspaper and we will help to faciliate a special meeting if the applicant desires a neighbourhood meeting prior to the formal hearing.
Our Act empowers us to have signs posted on the property and mailings done to adjacent property owners for Plan Amendments and Zoning Amendments, we just don't for fear of missing a person or the sign not being posted properly.
