I'm having a hard time finding information about shopsteading programs. So far the only info I've found has been about small towns in Illinois. Does anyone know of any bigger cities with programs? I'm looking to put together a list of best practices. Thanks.
I asked Jeeves, and he pointed me to the following info:
Shopsteading programs offer entrepreneurs old buildings or properties for well below market costs. Such programs are created as a scheme to deposit property that was acquired by a muncipality back onto the tax rolls.
