Cool

Racine is a great City IMHO. Its had a run of bad luck, and has either an image problem or an inferiority complex, maybe both. I think alot of Chicagoland folks looking for the next great commute to affordability are going to discover it like they did Kenosha more than 10 years ago.

I always know I'm in a nice place when I see signs for "Payday Loans." :)

Nice pictures, "Chet"!

RAY-cine is so much better than KeNOWHERE. The City has worked quite diligently over the last decade to upgrade its image from Cudahy South...and it has traditional family values, as exemplified by such individuals as Brent "Snort-Sniff-Sniff" Moss and Nick "I'm-Gonna-Kick-Your-A**" Van Exel.

Kenosha vs. Racine.

But Kenosha has the great tradition of formerly being the long time home of American Motors, home of the Gremlin, Pacer, Spirit, Matador, and, my favorite, the Ambassador Station Wagon, which is the vehicle I learned to drive in. I still remember Dad's "Spirit" which was the base model with no four wheel drive but the high center of gravity of the worst Suzuki Samurai. Taking those corners at a teenagers' driving speeds was quite the experience!

All Racine has is "Pledge" Lemony Fresh :)

That 4th picture has the most uncool "hip-hop" sign ever. It looks like an interesting place thats trying to get back on its feet.

The sign looks like it far predates "hip hop" as we now know it. Maybe it was a bar named after a rabbit, or something??
