5. On a road trip, a guy just needs to pull off to the nearest on-ramp or even the side of the road if the road is deserted for a pee. A minute later you are on the raod again.

Or as a friend of mine once phrased it (while in the act of relieving himself on the a tree) "when you're a dude, the whole world's a toilet!"

Never need to worry about what I am going to wear nor do I need to put on three different outfits before I leave the house.

I instinctively know not to ask those questions that do not have a good answer (Does my butt look big in this, and don't lie to me?)

Never need to worry about travelling if I'm alone, assuming that I don't do something stupid like walk up a dark alley in Detroit.

You guys are so right on most of this stuff, which is why I don't buy into a lot of what's expected of women (high heels, makeup, etc.)

I asked my husband once if it was gross to kiss a woman who's wearing lipstick. That seems like it'd be very yucky, to kiss her and taste toxic dye (which is why I won't wear it). He demurred, not wanting to bring up old girlfriends, I guess, ha ha. But guys, isn't that yucky? Why are so many men attracted to women who wear a lot of makeup? Isn't that misleading?
peace out

Personally, I object to the use of cosmetics in most situations [hick voice]Look Zeke, it's a painted woman[/hick voice]. And lipstick definitely is included.

The ability to walk into a bar, sit down, and enjoy a beer without having to worry about dancing, members of the opposite sex, waiting in line to use the bathroom, spending 6 hours to get ready, having the correct accessories, or spending 10 minutes trying to explain to the bar tender how to make a fufu drink that has a little umbrella, two gummy worms, ¼ slice of lime, 1/3 slice of lemon, and 6.5 ice cubes.

How about 'female medical issues'? In particular my wife's bout with endometriosis, which has required her to have her second laparoscopy. Besides that she has cramps & of course catches other illnesses...

Sorry to bum people out, just sharing is all.

6. Takes five minutes to get ready to go (deodorant, brush hair, clothes, shoes, keys). Fifteen minutes if I need to shower.

Often I don't even begin to get ready until my wife says she is ready to go, because I know I still have fifteen minutes. :-D

It's not to make sure they're still there; It's because when sitting down, balls fall between legs, getting squeezed between crotch and pants. Women are much better suited to sit down jobs than men because of this. In fact, I think it largely explains why girls are usually better students than boys.

Make up is all about getting attention. When women wear lots of makeup, men are attracted not to the makeup, but to the message that they hope it implies: "I'm looking to get it on". But when you get up close, it's pretty disgusting. Leave make up to the mortician. As Scorpios know, sex and death have lots in common.

wow, you really answered my questions, thanks! I always wondered why guys like girls with makeup, and my guy friends never gave a very good answer; your's really makes sense. You are the oracle of the male mystique!

We had a theory when I skiied in HS, that a girl who was half way decent looking with a runny nose and sweaty must be pretty hot when she was cleaned up. Most of the time this was true.

Not for everyone it's not. I wear it because it makes me feel good and pretty. ((Please no discussion about how terrible it is society makes a women feel that she has to cover up with makeup to feel good blah blah blah (not directed at you dobopoq)).

I don't wear A LOT of makeup, but I do wear it. I actually have quite a lot of it. I am a very girly-girl, but can play tough with the best of the boys. Not everyone who wears makeup looks like a porn star.

My mom is 89 and never goes out without makeup but I don't think she's looking to "get it on". Sheesh. We wear makeup because we look better and that makes us feel better. Granted, some women overdo it but they probably don't know how to apply it or buy cheap stuff that just looks bad or doesn't match their skin tone. You can even out your complexion and add a little sparkle without looking like you've shoveled the foundation on with a trowel.

I don't think women look better with makeup; they look fake.
It is valid to ask why a woman feels prettier when she has covered up her real face. It is sad that society tells women they aren't pretty until they cover their face.

ahhhh...connection to the post about muslums making their women cover their faces...

And I'm NOT blaming you men. My sense is that most men don't care for makeup, but somehow society has brainwashed women to think they're prettier if we can't see their real face; they're prettier if they cover up themselves and present a painted image that isn't really them.

Sorry - I didn't speak precisely enough. When you see women who wear a lot of make up, getting lots of attention from men, it is because they are doing it in a way to signal their desire to encourage propositioning. But you're quite right that, just because a women wears lots of make up, doesn't mean she is looking for sex.

In other words, wearing lots of make up in a bar, is one way a woman can increase her chances of finding a sex partner when in a public place such as a bar, while still remaining passive and not having to do any of the chasing or hitting on.

Nope, never get hit on in the gym, way too busy there to notice anyway...

And yes, many of you are right, we do get dolled up for other women, same reason many of us (yes, I am guilty of it too) spend $100's of dollars on our jeans and/or name brand purses...most guys don't notice the difference between two interlocking "c's" (coach) and circles (used for the fakes) but believe me the girls notice :r:
I still don't wear much make-up on a typical day but when I go out I do...and it is most definately NOT to say "Hey, I am ready to get it on", I wear make-up to feel better about myself (and for the catty chicks ;) )...
I asked the question "who do you guys think we do all this for" just to make sure you realized who it really IS for ;) :-D

ack, I don't know what that is...

BTW, I didn't mean to insult any woman who wears makeup, it is the cultural brainwashing that tells women they are not pretty w/o makeup that I'm lobbying against. And my growing suspicion that men don't like it after all. Wouldn't it be liberating to be free of all that?

So I guess when you meet women in a bar, wearing makeup, you sidle up and mention that they must be looking for sex? How many times each weekend do you get kneed in the nuts? Does this strategy work for at at your workplace, also?? Do you tell your boss she's a sex maniac because she has foundation on?

Edit: you trolling or just a misogynist??

8. I can look down and see something big sticking out. (My tummy. ;) )
_____

Serious Issue:

The advertising game, movies, television.....have presented us with images and perception that young, thin women are "what's happening" (and can get whatever they want) and older women are "not so cool". OTOH, the older men are "what's happening" and the young men are presented as "young horny idiots".

I need to get my Soprano's "fix" and get me back in tune. ;)

Apparently, you missed it when I said this.

There are plenty of promiscuous women who don't wear makeup. And there are plenty of makeup-caked women who are asexual. But, when a whore wears lots of makeup, and is scantily clad, the makeup sends the signal, "Do you want me?" And there are plenty of whores who don't wear any makeup. And women who aren't whores, but are simply looking to get laid, may sometimes use makeup to make themselves stand out to men. But again, I am in no way saying every woman who wears lots of makeup is looking for sex. And no, I don't behave in bars the way you described above.

You are still missing your own quotes. I have been in plenty of places, dressed in a work suit, getting hit on, and I'm NOT OUT FOR SEX.

Tell me what a guy does when he wants to "increase his chances of finding a sex partner" in a bar; stuff socks in his pants? Blow-dry his hair? Like you guys don't try to maximize your chances?

Relax ZG. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with a woman who wants to wear makeup.

For a guy: increasing the chances of getting laid usually means he must be willing to increase the number of rejections he gets as well, as men can't usually rely on attraction, but rather action. Makeup is just one of several passive/attraction oriented tactics that women can use if they want to seem more promiscous to guys. But again, its use does not necessarily imply that. Nor does its lack, mean the abscence of horniness.
