Rural - residential land use conflict

In response to: Rural - Residential Land Use Conflict posted by Ryan Darby on March 14, 2000 at 02:13:36:

I am currently writing my thesis on rural-residential
land use conflict eg urban sprawl encroaching onto sustainable
agricultural land, complaints, legal action from
residential land owners aginst farmers/producers etc.
I am after any information in regards to this such as
buffer zones (eg noise, smell, spray drift),
zoning restrictions, legal precedents in relation to
complaints by adjoining landowners, model designs
for rural-residential subdivisions etc. Thank you
May want to contact the long island farm bureau or the town of southold on long island. This is a big issue on the east end of suffolk county. good luck.
