Anyone else catch this excellent PBS show? I'm thinking of purchasing it and showing it my board members and elected officials.

I'll post more information as I get it. If this is old news let me know, will ya?:B

I found the date - so it is old. A word search for Hylton doesn't bring up any hits. Thus, it is new to Cyburbia.

PS - Yes, I know I have railed against PBS in the past. I'll do so in the future also. But this was a gem of a program, even if it was offered by card carrying commies.

I didn't see the program, but I have, and read, the book. Maybe I'll re-read it now.

Thomas Hylton spoke at an event here a few years ago, when I was homebound with infants and toddlers, so my friend purchased the book for me. He is involved with preservationpa.org.

I didn't see the program. When did it air? I do a lot of volunteer (i.e. free consulting) for a small borough's Main Street program, on top of my work with the city, and would be interested in watching that program, or at least reading the book.

It was on last night at 9:00 pm CST on KTWU. Not all PBS stations air the same programs at the same time though.

I believe the program premiered on PBS last year sometime. Check your local PBS affiliate, they may have a copy.

I wish they had shown it here last night instead of the the unbearably boring "Manor House" - A reality series with modern day Brits living as masters and servants in an Edwardian manor home. After watching about 30 minutes of it I turned off the set and said a sincere prayer, thanking God for the miracle of cable television.
