I was reading the Daily Hampshire Gazette (Northampton, MA) and came across the following quote

However, several neighbors also objected to the a planted screen.

"You're going to bring evergreen trees which attract mosquitos," said Laura Maziarz of 127 William st., who said she also didn't want leaves from deciduous trees dropping on her lawn.


This is about screening for 14 unit town house development. Classic NIMBY quote. All the other standard ones were included in the article. (traffic, open space, parking, crime....)
