St. Petersburg Times: Residents Demand Growth Be Slowed

I just read the article posted by Planetizen - from theSt. Petersburg TimesResidents Demand Growth Be Slowed

Up until the residents of Hernando County started showing up at county commission meetings the zoning fairy was busy sprinkling new designations over the undeveloped spaces in Hernando County Florida. What were these officials doing besides just accomodating developer requests? NOW they're going to pursue a 25 yr land use vision?

Also spent 25 min perusing the various web pages of said county and planning dept. Must say they sure know how to keep the new construction process humming along- excellent access for permitting and inspection scheduling via online!
