Thanks! I need to work a few wonders here real quick and hope no one wants to move to the middle of no where to plan not much and maybe I can keep the director position. They came in an got my department credit card the other day so they can post it on Monster.com.
I loudly protested that it is like cutting one's own switch!!!!
Needless to say, there is a bit of stress in my life.

My health

This will improve my financial situation, if only because my electric bill will drop and I will quit trying to single-handedly support GNC

Theoretically, it will further improve my financial situation by making me energetic enough to occasionally earn money.

(Ah, Health: the gift that keeps on giving.)

A beautiful, small round table so that my office can occasionally double as the dining room that the floor plan claims it is.

Another piece of office furniture that has miraculoulsy cleaned up all the excess Stuff that didn't fit anywhere.

A domain name (pending).

Possibly a second domain name (still researching).

The Professor Teaches HTML -- desperately needed, I am sure.

Frankencense and Myrrh (not literally, but I sure feel Reborn, :) )

A microwave oven (which I still have to buy but mom will pay for at least part of it).

"A bigger home" --- not literally, but it sure feels like it, since the king sized bed took up so much room in this tiny apartment and I don't have that problem anymore, :)

EDIT: Oh, how could I forget the one thing I actually wished for: improved sleep!!!

Little bendy magnet dude on a bike
Petzl headlamp for camping
Digital map distance finder
Bottle of New Glarus Cherry Ale
Bottle of Il Bastardo Sangiovese
blinky Indestruciball for Chaco the wonder dog
Bottle of Mead(home brew!)
and my favorite: "The Bottle let me Down" children's CD-Songs for the bumpy wagon ride.-Actually I got it for my wife, but I love it too.

They've already made their way to the landfill. They were crap anyway from years of abuse.

I got quite the Christmas bundle this year (Elmo's good at presents):

A new cd player for the truck (with mp3 capability... yay!), Band of Brothers book, a comfy robe, toe socks and the list goes on and on...

but more importantly, it was way cool spending time with Elmo's kids and my parents together. It's nice when two families have a good time at Christmas. (And a gift I really appreciate was my parents financial support during all of our activities: kids' rides at the mall, trip to Jasper, various nice restaurant excursions, 5 pin bowling... ) I packed so many activities in this past week, I think I'm ready for a few days off.

I guess I was a pretty good boy this year :-D

Victory at Sea 4-volume CD -- found image of one of my dad's ships (USS Massachusetts) during Operation Torch, Nov'r 1942. Odd to think that he was there when the image was made 61 + years ago...

Tie (cliche, but very cool line art of historic bridges)
Planner's Uniform (TM) pants
Sweater (gotta exhange it: office temperature's too unsteady to wear a sweater with any likelihood of comfort...)

Mrs. Gedunker and I shared the new kitchen as our presents to each other (functional but not finished).

The best present was watching my kids play their new Nok-Hockey game the way my brother and I did so many years ago ;-)

Yes, the man and I are getting married in November. I found a dress that was way out of the price range and I was surprised with it when I went to go try it on for my family.

i gotta a lot of conservative crap talk on christmas eve so i feel your pain (in some respect). my uncle tried to rub my face in his bday card from pres. bush but i think its sad b/c i know how much he had to contribute to get that level of gift. maybe i'm bitter b/c i didn't get a contribution like that...

Yeah its been 2 years and I still get that crap. But I still am friends with her and she comes to the parents occassionally to visit and for some holidays, so I guess I deserve it for not cutting the cord.

Unsolicited advice from a stranger: Cut the cord if you havent already. It will make being happy with your family MUCH easier. Then again, with my family....

Lots of good presents for Downtown, here were the biggies -
- CD player for the baby's room
- Food processor/blender
- Gift certificate to the day spa
- The best gift was that since my parents were staying with us, after every night feeding that the baby didn't go right back to sleep, my mom would get up and rock him so Rob and I could sleep.
