Dan,
some of us are not all that expert with this new format. Can you please create a forum for "dummies" so we will be able to post messages in the subject areas, the way we used to? Thanks,
FloridaPlannerPerson

You can post in the old subject areas (go back to the Forums main page, and scroll down), but you need to register first. The registration system is in place to prevent spammers and crackpots; and create a sense of "community. It also permits some of the more advanced features, such as profiles; post counts and appropriate user titles; an accurate "search by user" function, avatars, private messages, signatures, and other fun things.

After you register, posting in the new forums will be very similar to the old forums; if not easier -- a cookie stores your registration information on your computer, so you don't have to enter your name every time. (If you have cookies disabled, you'll have to log in every time you want to post.)

I have closed the old Discus-based bulletin boards -- you can still read and search through old messages there, but you cannot post new messages. I'm transferring messages over from the old boards to the new boards by hand, and so can you. (It's a great way to get your post count up!)

To register, go to http://www.cyburbia.org/forums/register.php .
