I kicked my smoking habit a few years back and feel for those going through the process now. Why was all the tobacco settlement money spent without a dime going to pay for smoking cessation assistance for the poor? The smokers are getting screwed coming and going.

I spent my 25th birthday in Saudi Arabia on the road from Hafir al-Batin to Al Khobar.

Parents arent allowed to give their kids the belt anymore. Shame.

Some days I sure could use a stiff belt to make it through the day.

The Maine was part of the old U.S. Navy. It sunk, too, if I recall...

The kids like to watch some cartoon called Arnold about some weird kid that wears a kilt and has a head shaped like a football. I guess not every cartoon can be spongebob.

The APA conference in Chicago was one of the best that I had ever attended......that's probably because I only went to 1 session. ;)

There is a memorial plaque cast from parts of the battleship Main in my office, along with friezes taken from the Columbian Exposition in Chicago.

Well I've just arrived at work! Although I wouldn't mind going home again for a few more hours sleep... oh well, I'm having the rest of the week off to go see Foo Fighters and heaps of other cool bands playing on Friday.

I haven't heard the new Foo Fighters Cd, is it good? I liked Dave Grohl's work with Queens of the Stone Age.

One by One is a great CD! I love it. Took a few listenings though. I had it up loud this morning in my car on the way to work. Queens of the Stone Age are also playing at the Big Day Out.

Speaking of songs, how about the Proclaimers take on this thread:

"I would post 500 times,
and I would post 500 more,
just to be the man who posts a thousand posts
To fall down at your door"

A guy who appears on a local radio show here in Milwaukee says John Madden looks like Shrek. I agree.
