Went to Amoeba Records in the Haight yesterday and found the new release by one of my favorite modern composers/bands Elend. (Could have paid a lot less at Dark Symphonies on line )
Awesome album "Winds Devouring Man" a neoclassical/industrial soundscape that is simply stunning. Vocals sound a lot like Brendan Perry from the old trance band Dead Can Dance (they credit DCD in one of their earlier releases). If anyone is at all interested in very dark neoclassical, I recommend this.
