I come across a lot of ... uhh, "interesting" articles, ads, and editorials in old newspapers, whenever I'm looking through old newspaper archives for research. I thought I'd start a thread where I can post good finds. Like this. 104 years ago, they didn't call it pollution. It was the sight of prosperity!
