Bisbee, AZ
Breckenridge, CO
Paia, HI
Galena, IL
Asheville, NC
Charleston, SC
Gatlinburg, TN

So I've hit 7 of them. I've been pretty close to several others, though.

I've visited seven of the 50, one of which I lived in for a while. I guess I've got a lot of small towns left to visit!

Do you know what criteria was used to decide which town in each state is the prettiest?
imho As pretty as NY's Woodstock is, there so many towns that are WAY prettier! Is "cool & trendy" part of the "beauty"?

I'm going to say trendy is part of it. Sedona, AZ blows you away for scenic beauty, although the town is becoming more and more of a city and not holding the quaint downtown charm. Bisbee, AZ is the latest hip spot since Sedona is to touristy now. It's a nice downtown and keeps the small town charm, part of the score I'm sure, but Sedona is still way more scenic.
