A couple of good friends informed me of cyburbia and I am grateful that they have.

I reside in Sydney (a 4th generation Sydney-sider) yet I had lived in Tokyo for almost 4 years and have also stayed in Melbourne for a length of time. I have visited other parts of Asia, the U.S. of A, Vienna and some of the islands in The Pacific.

I have a strong interest in architecture, urban planning, economics, politics, the environment and culture, from underground to popular.

Have been studying architecture and this year I am joining an international/exchange students' architectural class to assist as a mentor for non-engish speaking background students. I studied geology for 4 years in the 1990s.

I work in a prominent musuem in Sydney that specialises in art, design and technology.

It's always hard to see oneself objectively, but I hope I have a good balance of seriousness and a gracious sense of humour.

Hope to get to know ya'all over the coming months.

Welcome to Cyburbia from the eastern time zone of south central Indiana. We have quite a number of members from the (current) summer climes as I'm sure you've noted.

Do you intend to practice architecture when you complete your degree, or teach, or what have you?

You'll find Curburbia a wonderful educational and profesional resource. But I have to stop slacking now...

Welcome from the frozen regions of central New York State, USA.

We're that state just south of the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec.

Hello ummmm, up there H.

I like how you are showing your personalities already. It's great.

Gadunker, basically I live and breathe architecture. All aspects of it! It's a passion of mine. I am planning to be an arhcitectural writer/photographer/critic and I'm well on the way there in my planning.

JNA, All streams of geology. This has helped me in understanding materials used in civic works and private ventures incl. the bedrock of the foundations for constuction work. Also in my environmental interests.

Maheep Singh Thapar, regarding Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album cover, I like the simple design. It's symbolic for a few things to me.

GeoPlanner, the beer has just reached me. Guzzling now. :p

I must get to know the site better....

Yay - another Aussie

Hello and welcome Zenith from a countryman.

I'm guessing Powerhouse Museum - if so you should share some technology posts here. You will have no trouble finding plenty of interest amongst Cyburbanites - especially in the area of transport. I had despaired at the prospect of participating in a Cyburbia LaefestTM, but as I visit the Powerhouse about once a year with the Remmies, maybe I won't have to wait too long.

Cheers. :b:

Really?? I doubt it would be all that bad ;)
No no no - I am referring only to how difficult it is to organise an antipodian Laefest. The thought of some day meeting JNL in the flesh and sharing ales keeps me getting out of bed in the morning. ;)
