Two Truths and a Lie

Ok, this harkens back to my sorority girl days, but i think a game of two truths and a lie would be extremely interesting with this crowd. You state two true things and one lie about yourself and see if your friends can figure out the lie. I'll start:

1. I am a huge Karaoke afficionado, and although i don't get to do it as often as I would like, my favorite, show stopping number is a hearty rendition of Dolly Parton's 9-5, which never fails to enthusiate (is that a word?) the crowd.

2. As a foreign exchange student to Spain, I had a scary run in/deportation scare with the police for being American, drunk and not wearing a helmet on my friend's scooter (i wasn't driving however!).

3. As a Clemson Graduate Student, I was picked up by the police after passing out drunk in the Lee Hall women's bathroom after a particularly rough tailgating party.

Which is the lie?

i go for number 2

hey how many of us are greek?

Alpha Delta Pi here
Danie, you're the winner!
And we weren't greek. And in college we would have rather died than called ourselves a "sorority". but it really was - we pledged (but no hazing - very rare at a SUNY school back in the day), had a house, initiation, etc.

OK, who's up next for two truths and a lie?

No mention of Spain ever....I'm going with that one.
You sir are correct as well, but I actually was a high school foreign exchange student, and did actually ride all over the spanish country side, helmetless and intoxicated on my friend's little Honda Scooter, but was never caught by the Poli!

Now wait a minute. You said two truths and a lie. Not one truth, one half-truth, and a lie...

Hmm, we know you're a mili brat, so i think one is two, and i think you're the kind of girl to name her computers, and we have heard about your southern sista, so i am also going with #3.

And Tran - the most plausible lies are the ones based on truth!

So I guess it's my turn...

1. I was once an all-conference defensive tackle on my high school football team, and was recruited by several Division I-AA, II and III schools.

2. I graduated with my masters in Urban Planning from Ball State University.

3. I have spent all of my post-college employment in the state of New Hampshire.

Tim - you look the football type, and we know you went to Ball State, but I could swear you haven't always worked in NH! So I say 3.

You, like our friend from Wisconsin, are incorrect.

Nope.

I was all conference, and was recruited by Columbia, Bentley, Sacred Heart, Plymouth State, and several others I can't remember off the top of my head.

So since no one got it (before there were no choices left)....does that mean I go again?

By the way, the lie is that I got dual bachelor's degrees from BSU (BUPD and BS in Environmental Design).

OK, then

1. I was caught in a drug bust while visiting Washington,DC.

2. One of my reports from my first planning job was published as a book.

3. I contributed to the "porcupining" of the eastern Canadian landscape by working for a cell phone company locating new towers.

Ooh, this is a hard one. ok, #1 is so crazy, it just might be true, you do travel alot. #2 is very plausible so i'm going to pick #3, because i can't believe that JMF would work for the dark side! :)

I say number one's the lie. From the pic you posted, I can't see you in a drug raid...sorry if that sounds like I'm stereotyping!

You're right about the lie...it was my friends not me. They were walking down the street and then police were everywhere. But it could have been if my friends from Bethesda and Falls Church hadn't warned me to stay west...

Your turn

1. I was married on August 31, 2002, in Sudbury Ontario.

2. On a trip to Germany, I recreated Winston Churchill's famous "peeing in the Rhine" incident near Remagen.

3. I once snuck into France without a visa.

That easy, eh?

It almost came true - but I ended up settling for peeing in the bathroom of a pub beside the Rhine.
