An Alley. Statistically, alleys are the source of 96.3% of all crime in America. Would I lie?

Great pics..

Off-Topic:

For all you beer lovers...

If you are in the Times Square area for a show ..go to Hallo Berlin. They have good beer at a good price.. and cheap good eats to go with it... as they say.. "The best of the wurst". You gotta like German grub though.

I just was there last weekend... I wish I could have had a few more... but we had to go catch a show.

The place to drink beer in New York is McSorley's Tavern on Seventh Street between First and Second avenues, below Houston. It is the OLDEST continuously operated tavern in the US. You have to order in even numbers ("4 light and 6 dark") or you will be ignored. JFK's grandfather's boots are nailed over the doorway to the restroom (there's only one: both sexes share it simultaneously). Women were prohibited until the 1970s.

OT: Anybody who's ever spent a minute in Central Park knows that first picture was not The Park.

But they are great pics....

Yes, I will have to look for times square today. I will also try to hunt down the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building. It is strange that they are so difficult to find. Maybe if I head north on Michigan Avenue....

Hey, while you're there could you look up my friend Elwood for me? I think he lives at 1060 West Addison...

Aren't they next to that building that looks like a smaller version of the sears tower on Wall Street?

By the way, if you want to see the footprint of the WTC, it's at State and Washington.

That's NYC? I could have sworn it was Key West.

Seriously, though. We must stop the crime in Chicago alleys. I propose we start a movement. Let's all picket an alley late at night in downtown Chicago. But let's wait until the waste disposal strike is over. I think the alleys might smell because of that. But, on the other hand... Bad smells may equal less crime! Eureka!

It's Block 37, a huge empty lot right off of State street. Daley approved some plan to build a mall there or something in like '93, but it fell through shortly after they were finished bulldozing everything and it's been vacant ever since. It's been a big thorn in Daley's side and they've been desperate to get something there. I think that's where Daley wanted to build a casino before the state nixed that idea.
