I remember there was a post on the original Planning Peeves Fourm a few year ago about Highway 710 in greater Los Angeles. This was supposed to be the last unbuilt link in the federal Interstate Highway System and if built, it would do untold damaged to neighborhoods in Pasadena, South Pasadena, etc. I recall there was a lot of opposition to this project by neighborhood groups, Sierra Club, preservation organizations, etc.
It has been a long time since I have heard anything on this matter. Was it ever built? Or is it still being planned? Hopefully they scrapped the whole thing.
Please provide me with any relevant updated information on this project.
