A very geeky poll. It appears that, among my cow-orkers, I'm the only one who prefers to have the monitor set at a very high resolution. At home, it's 1600x1200 on a 21" CAD monitor (.22 dp, baby!); at work, it's 1280X1024 on a 19" monitor. Everyone else uses 640x480 or 800x600.

I used to be 1600 x 1200 at work...but my 1992 vintage 21" monitor bit the dust last month. Now it's 1024x768 on a 17" monitor.

1024x768? You're all blind, I tell you ... blind! Are you still using 30 cm monitors?

Geez, I decided to bump mine up a notch to 1024 x 768... What a mess, I soon remembered why I turned it down. The monitor started a very high piched whine that almost made my head explode, and the flicker was also real bad. Only 60 hertz refresh would work...so I switched back. Took trial and error to get the flicker out.... I won't be messing with that again
