Orlando Phenomenon Baffles Scientists
Wed Jul 31, 5:41 PM ET

ORLANDO, Fla. (Reuters) - The deaths of three hunderd thousand young felines is baffling scientist and law enforcement personnel. While unexplained, the ailment seems to strike cats under the age of six months, and result in the death of the animal.

Colin Smith, of the Center for Disease Control, told reporters earlier that there was no concern of communicable disease. "Well, from the charred remains we've gathered, there is no sign of any bacterial or viral infection. It's almost as if there is some spontaneous combustion occuring." Smith was careful to note that the Florida heat may, or may not, be a factor.

Law enforcement and aminal control officers cannot begin any rescue attempts for the felines, since the situation is volatile. Sgt. Clem Beufort, from nearby Winter Garden, was visibly shaken when one animal exploded in his hands. "Well durn!", He said, "The gosh dang thing just blowed up!" Beufort was treated for minor first and second degree burns.

In a related story, planners from across the country are gathering to design a park area near the site epicenter in memory of the lost kittens.

LOL!

Thanks for blocking out the naughty bits, EG. We wouldn't want to see any of that on Cyburbia.

BTW, there's some interesting stuff going on in your neck of the woods, eh?

Okay, time to stop acting like a bunch of pervs, and get back on topic. Let's talk about road design standards.

We'll be right here waiting when you get back from the St. Louis Cathedral... We're kind of like Patty O's, you go confess... then come down to St. Peter's for a Hurricane!

(Although, I'm partial to the Olde Absinthe House, myself.)

And I pretty much dont date in Fairfax Co. Too darn far to try to drive with the screwy HOV limits on 66. Arlington, Alexandria *actualy Arlandria* or DC is pretty much it. Traffic is a bear here, if they are not with in a 20 min drive or so its too far.

And no jesus freaks for me please

Just an idea.

PlannerGirl,
Get your posterior down to St. George's County MD and wait 10 feet outside of the main gate of Indian Head Naval Ordnance Station the first Friday after the first of the month at 4:30pm. You will have so many men with way more money than common sense shower you with all the latex, pvc, and leather you could ever want. These are men who went through their formative years in the Orient. So they might give you a run for your money.

Nope, I'm not speaking from experience. Nope you can't prove it.

PS. Don't kiss and tell, unless you want to.

Poor little DC/Northern Virigina planner girl,

Indian Head is in Prince Georges County.
Pax Air Station is in St. Mary's County.

I see in the Baltimore Sun there is a wild and crazy Singles party at the Hyatt either this weekend or next If you want to come up . You could always catch some crabs, hon.

This has made for a very amusing Friday afternoon read!
I'm going on a date tonight, with a builder/labourer - he is just soooo cute, I don't care what he does for a job! Previously I have been out with a software programmer, an accountant and... uh-oh I don't even know exactly what my last ex did!

The stars must be aligning everywhere for so many of us to get dates all of a sudden, or did someone leak this thread to our friends and now they feel sorry for us.

Yeah, maybe Friday nite + new apartment + grocery shopping = date!

I worked part time in a supermarket while studying, and never got asked out while working. But then, customers don't realise the staff are human - they seemed to think we were automatons just waiting to serve them! I am so glad I don't work there any more! beep... beep... awful memories of being a "checkout chick"...

One day...

I am out of the office one day and there is sooo much to get caught up on.

Chet and I are in the same office...it's nice to see him take pot shots at me in the haiku post...

So back to the topic:

I don't date one type of woman...but with the typa of schedules most of have it isn't diffucult to understand why dating is a struggle.

I was asked to play in a kickball tournament on Saturday...it's co-ed. We starked drinking at 9:30 am and by 3pm the woemn on the team wanted to go to the local strip club before the championship game (see image for field located next to Miller Park). I realized that I want to date either women with stripper-like qualities (dispostion, wardrobe, and flexibility) or women who initiate going to a strip club on a Saturday afternoon.

Sure is funny reading these old threads. Almost need a classic thread of teh week thread.

Within the last 8 months I have dated:

1) Newspaper photographer (1 date) - January
2) Banker (1 date) - february
3) Health Care Worker /Researcher (3 dates) -march
4) Student/Teacher ( 2 dates) - march
5) Not really sure what she did, but I am under the impression she made lots of money doing it (2.5 months)
6) Getting ready to go on a date with an art student

What I find nicest is that Planderella caught who she set her eyes on and that nerudite and BEM are also getting married.

Definitely not BEK :l: :l: :l: , who's a planner like myself. What's sad is I don't even remember who that engineer guy was and certainly don't care now. :p :D

I was surprised at the age of this thread. Way before my time here.

I am living with my girlfriend of 2 years right now, she was an aspiring teacher in college, but is just working a job now till she decides what to do. Having not dated anyone else outside of a college setting, I wouldn't know who to date.

There have been some women in here young enough for to be near my age, but dating someone in the development sector may be a conflict of interest.
Especially with my being a planner and naming off violations and poor practices as I drive around.
Something my SO is STILL learning to deal with.

Let's see, a few teachers, an attorney, a couple social workers, a few non-profit sector administrative types.... It really doesn't matter to me what they do for a living so long as 1) they enjoy the outdoors and travel, and 2) they do not and never will have cats.

Beyond that, I tend to find myself attracted to women who are independent, self-relient, have opinions, and are intelligent. I suppose it would also be nice if they were either very wealthy or a swimsuit model. Better yet, they could have a dog.

Huh. I guess it has not changed much. I was with an accountant for a while. There were a couple more teachers. The latest is a graphic artist. She's allergic to cats. This may work.
