Okay, tonight 20 million plus viewers will find out who will win a chance to be Trump's Apprentice. A top spot at one of his companies and a $250,000 salary are the conditions. Who should it be? Kwame, the Harvard MBA, or Bill, the Chicago cigar entrepreneur? Or somebody else?

I've been addicted to this slick paean to capitalism and New York City since January...

Have watched maybe 2 minutes of one show. Couldn't care less. Maybe that option should be added to the poll.

I am not one for reality TV, but I really like the apprentice. I voted for Kwame. Bill seems like an ok guy but is kind of sneaky and maybe too confident for his oen good. Kwame may be a little too laid back. He should have fired that b--ch Omorosa last week. She sucks. I actually was pulling for Troy. I would have loved to see someone without a college degree win the job.

I can't believe people actually watch this reality tv crap . . .

OK I'll admit to watching it. I take pride in never watching Survivor or other reality shows but somehow I let this happen to myself.

Bill should win based on previous episodes. But remember they may be setting you up for a surprise where Kwame takes charge and wins.

Do you think "the Donald" has a high opinion of himself? ;-)

What is this Apprentice you speak of? ;-)

Honestly, haven't seen a single second of the show, and as so well put, couldn't care less.

Me neither. Rumour is that the winning person will be put in charge of marketing Trump's new Toronto development. Good luck.

I like Bill for the win.

Not simply because he is a Chicago guy, but I like his style and I think he has an advantage because he is an entrpenneur(sp?). Started his own successful (I assume) business. A plus with Trump, IMHO.

Kwame has a more advanced degree, but does he have the entrepenneurial spark/drive?

Like Seabishop, this is the only reality show I watch.

[blushing] I also watched the "Behind the Apprentice" special on Dateline last night. [/blushing]

EDIT: I heard there are bets going for this. It's definitely the best odds you can get, outside of 100% certainty.

What do you guys mean you don't watch reality shows? None of you watched Joe Billionare or the Swan or Temptation Island? Liars all of you;)

Seriously, pretty soon reality shows are going to be geared towards The Running Man.

I don't normally watch this show, or any of the other reality shows for that matter, but I did watch about 1/2 hr, along with the Dateline special, last night. I can honestly say that I could care less who wins. I know it won't be me and that SUCKS!

Who says these shows should only be for MBA's.

Tune in to see which planner will be "the Duany's" apprentice.

Will it be the duck loving Maister?
1377maister.jpg

His arch-rival, the duck loving Cardinal?

Or the born to be wild DecaturHawk?

Or one of our other fascinating contestants.

I could threaten users with the prospect of an Assarom ... ihh, I mean an Omarosa avatar ...

Bill's gotta' win. Kwame is definitely a competent, smart, likeable talented businessman, but he can't break outside the Harvard MBA role. He's shown no evidence of outside-the-box thinking or creativity.

Man, I'd Watch The Duany!! Some ideas:

-You could have episodes where the contestants have to hold a public charette on a neo-traditional development and fill it with a bunch of actors pretending to be angry citizens.

- Put contestants in various communities and see who can stop the development of a Super Wal Mart the fastest!

Better yet, how about ...The James!

His boardroom speeches would have more bleeps than an hour of booty- and 40-filled hip hop videos on MTV. Of course, since The James is above such a proletarian, mind-numbing, clusterf**k media such as television, which has no doubt contrinbuted to the sad state of affairs that is the overweight, uncultured, Disneyfied, overweight, aesthetically uninformed and overweight typical American schlub, the show will air on NPR. In the first episode, everyone gets fired, in a carefully wordsmithed crit liberally peppered with a volley of profanities that would leave long haul truckers, Marine Corps drill sergents and David Chase in awe.

I, too, would love to say that I don't watch reality TV, but its slick packaging makes it a more watchable version of what I thought was a passing entertainment fad. It is a guilty pleasure...

Troy was my pick right up to his firing. He displayed more leadership than the two remaining. But we have to be realistic, and it would be difficult to command respect from a workforce where college degrees are the norm.

If I were DT, I would go with Bill. Kwame's smooth and professional manner may keep him in the room, but Bill has been the one who has shown he can act.

I'm not into professional wrestling but I'd pay good money to see Kunstler and Wendell Cox go at it in a no holds barred cage match.

As far as the OP goes... I think both Bill and Kwame are incredibly bland and unDonald like. But out of the two, I give my vote to Kwame.

Trump may have picked Bill, but at Cyburbia, Kwame was the true winner by one vote. Actually, the majority said they could care less. ;)

I once worked with an Omorosa clone - except she was Caucasian - and working with a person like her is a living hell. I'm just glad she got national exposure for the nasty person she has become. My guess is that her next gig will be with an adult film project loosely based upon the Apprentice...I'm writing the script in my head as we speak.

Opening: A driving base line pumps out the theme of the hit TV show the apprentice. We open with a view of a successful executive in a hair piece sitting behind his desk looking at the ceiling... ;)

I guess it is possible to come to actually hate a person you have never met by just watching TV.

I liked Troy, and even Heidi, but Bill was the obvious man about town and that is all I have to say about that.

BTW - Isn't it cool he picked the Building? I was hoping Trump would have put him in charge of Trump Big Box Sprawl.

We have all agreed to do the show and filming is already underway. I think the viewers will be in for a treat as the avian-loving planners duke it out vying for the Duany's favor. Viewers will especially enjoy the behind the scenes backstabbing in episode 3 where I secretly poison Cardinal's duck after he talks trash about my mallard....

Question:

Do you think Donald believes his own hype about himself?

Because last night he referred to himself as "The Donald". B-)

BTW....

Yeah, go Bill. I was glad he took the Trump Tower - Chicago. It's much better than the other choice - the elitist golf course, sprawl machine pod out on the Waste Coast. ;-)

Yeah, go Bill.
I'm reminded of a Seinfeld episode where George is giving Jerry 'tips' on lying and says in a confidential manner "it's not really lying if you believe it is true".
The Donald must possess a similar skill at self-delusion.

I don't remember where I read it, but recently I saw an article that claimed Trump is actually a poor money manager (remember his debt problems in the late 80's? Apparently they never went away) and his famous New Jersey casino has been losing bundles of money for years. Evidently his genius lies solely in self-promotion.

It would have been Kwame if he would have just fired Omorossa. I saw the Dateline special and she is married. Her hubby must have great tolerence for annoying people or she is good in the sack. I read that she was fired 4 TIMES from the White House.

Another person that is an incredible self-promoter, but IMHO, sucks completely: Kid-Rock.

She screwed him, but he should've dealt with her accordingly rather than let her slide. Ultimately, by selecting her for his team, he sealed his fate with the Donald. Regardless, he'll get a position with a firm that will pay him a salary that I can only hope for right now. :-\

Kwame really didn't have a choice, though. Bill got to choose first, and he would never have picked Omarosa. Being the worst one of the lot, she would have been the last one to be picked, like ... well, me back in elementary school gym class. Kwame could have either been forced to take her, leaving her resentful and even more prone to screw up, or he could have picked her earlier. Kwame made the best of a bad decision.

Kwame and Troy should go into business together. They've got good chemistry, and their skills complement each other.
