Who was your teenage crush?

I have two step-daughters and they are both in the throes of wild crushes on two celebrities that are, IMO, yucky. The pre-teen is wild over Justin Timberlake (yuck!) and the 15 y.o. is gaga over Darren Hayes (another wannabe popster from Savage Garden).

I started thinking about the celebs I was interested in when I was a kid, and all I can come up with was John Taylor from Duran Duran (but who wasn't into him?)... and Lance Mountain, a skateboard god. I actually still have a little crush on Lance Mountain, but whatever...

So I was thinking since we are mostly around the same age here... who were your celebrity crushes when you were a pre-teen/teenager?

No one thought Donny (aka the "bad boy") from New Kids was hot? I also seemed to have a crush on one the guy who played "Gilbert" in Anne of Green Gables.. does anyone know who I'm talking about?

Yeah... Jonathan Crombie... I dug him too, especially after watching the end to the first movie. That whole "carrots" thing at the end made my little teenage heart go pitter pat. Lol... I totally forgot about him!

Here is a pic, just for you Tex... this is what he looks like now. And uh... he is Canadian, so you could always use him as your avatar next week. ;)

As a pre-teen I was enfatuated with both Coreys
Do I win a prize for knowing who the two Corey's are? hahhaha I LUH-UVED Corey Haim, and my sister loved Corey Feldman. They just don't make movies like Lost Boys, License to Drive, Dream A Little Dream anymore...

Goonies, anyone? Another favorite...

He's hot, thats who!!

He was the little brother in Lost Boys (80's vampire movie with Keifer Sutherland). Ummm...you know, I can't remember what else besides the ones I already mentioned.

They did an E tv biography thingy on him...wow, was he whacked out.

I forgot to add my other favorite...Axl Rose. Don't ask me why, but he rocks! That was more of a older teen, young adult type of thing...

Lance Mountain..with those catepillar eyebrows?!?...just kidding. He was my favorite skater when I was a teenager. I even got to meet him (and some other pros) in Chicago at a Bad Religion concert and he was super cool. Never did have a crush on him though :)

My crushes were the chick who played Samantha on Gimme A Break, Dana Plato, Carrie Fisher, Mary Lou Retton, and Kerri Green, the redhead from Goonies, Lucas, and some other 80s movies...oh and Mia Sara, who played Sloane in Ferris Buller's Day Off....

I like when he fell through the ramp on the search for animal chin tour...

I called his little dance the "chicken dance" because I thought he looked like a chicken when it scratches the ground. LOL :)

As a teen, various porn stars, (just being honest) when I was younger- Wonder Woman was the hottest. I was only 6 or 7 yrs. old and I wanted her -I was in love with her.

I guess I'm the oldie here, since I haven't ever heard of half the celebs already mentioned. But maybe some of the newbies will be in the same boat about the pre-teen hotties from my day: Davey Jones (shades of Marcia Brady!), the Cowsills (so embarrasing now), Sajid Khan (guy from India on a show with Jay North a/k/a Dennis the Menace).

I wondered how long it would be before someone mentioned Catherine Bach.

For me, the first was Olivia Newton John. She still looks great.

It's funny you should mention Daisy. I liked the blonde guy. Admittedly when I was about 7 when I saw it so I didn't like him like him. He's still good looking though if that superman-as-a-teenager is anything to go by. The guy who plays clark is more in my age range though.

My actual first crush was Sean Connery's James Bond. This developed into a definite liking of action heroes, so the next crushes were Bruce Lee, Brandon Lee and Dolph Lundgren. I am ever so grateful to my dad for encouraging my taste in muscular bits of rough, by agreeing that I wasn't dumb enough to think I could take on the world just because I saw it in a movie. I now just have to find myself one. A bit of rough, that is...

And none of the women here said Prince William. I guess you're all "too old" for that to be a teenage crush.

He's a cutie... but I would have to be about 10 years younger...

Ok, this whole discussion almost make me snarf my coffee this afternoon!

I forgot to mention my major case of pre-teen hot pants for Scott Baio - first as Chachi, then as Charles in Charge! hee!

Prince William is a little too pretty for my tastes and if the news stories are anything to go by then Harry is at least more normal. And just look at their gene pool. I bet you 5 euros/dollars that they're both bald byt the time they're 35...

I always liked the "girl next door" look. In the 1980s, that meant only one thing ...

That's right. Kim Richards. She's still a babe.
