That's one of my biggest beefs with the planning profession. Your job, at least in other locals, was to give an air of legitimacy to the decisions often pre-made by council and developers. Your true opinions are often not to be expressed, much less made public.

I'm not a fan of our litigious culture but if I were her I would sue both the paper and former employer.

This is bullsh*t! That is exactly why I avoid talking to journalists at all costs. Anonymous is never anonymous! I hope she bankrupts the city and newspaper with her lawsuits (assuming she files)!
